Principal's Message

Dear Food and Finance Community,

I would like to welcome everyone to the 2021- 2022 school year. Having the opportunity to lead Food and Finance High School and work alongside the Food Education Fund and our staff, is a gift that fills me with excitement and joy.  I am thrilled at the opportunity to get to know all of you and engage in the educational process together, especially as we prepare to re-open our doors and re-define our new normal. I believe that strong family partnerships, result in shared decision making and ensures the best educational experience for all of our students.

On behalf of our teachers and staff, I would like to thank you for your patience, trust and support, as we work towards disseminating the latest announcements concerning COVID-19 protocols or mandates. Please make sure you continue to check our website for the latest updates.

While there may be many unknowns at the moment, one thing is certain; you are not alone. We will navigate these waters together and create a world that is not bound by walls, but rather one that overflows with opportunities and ingenuity. With that said, please know that your child’s health, safety and security is of utmost importance.

Please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call to make an appointment to discuss your concerns, suggestions, or ideas to help make this year the best it can be.

I look forward to building lasting relationships with every member of the Food and Finance community and working with each of you to make this year successful.

Sincerely,

Erika Hurtado-Valentino
